KONČAR-Instrument transformers Inc., through its existing and work, tries to profile itself as a recognised, socially responsible company.

Social responsibility could be found out on several levels: investing in employees, in innovation and environmental protection.

Social responsibility starts with investing in people, as promoters of knowledge and development of the company. Motivated and responsible employees are the main condition of company's success, so it is necessary to take a special care about their education. Especially in our case, where the product development, as constant task, is based on the knowledge of workers and their co-operation with scientists from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) of University in Zagreb, Croatia and KONČAR-Institute for Electrical Engineering Inc.
Here we have to stress that few of our colleagues attend postgraduate specialist study in transformers at FER in Zagreb, international study the only of its kind in the world.

In order to enable to its employees the healthy and creative spending of their free time, the company organises sport practicing – football. Except of direct impact on health, sport has also an indirect influence in sense of belonging to collective, which contributes in development of sound working atmosphere.

Through certificates ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 we confirm our commitment to environmental and protection at work, as well as working in healthy surroundings. We achieved very good results in waste economisation and we continuously work on optimisation of water and energy usage, as well as on reduction of emission of harmful gases and materials.

Additionally, the company proves that the care of the employees does not finish with retirement through traditional yearly meetings with pensioned workers. Except pleasant association, such meetings are an opportunity for talks about everyday life, both working and retirement.
